Economic Assistance

United Way partners with several local organizations to provide services for families who have recently lost their jobs or have had a significant loss of income due to the economy.

This program helps families find resources and financial assistance throughout Johnson County to help them through struggling times.
It also provides educational opportunities for families to learn effective ways to better manage financial resources.

In moving to long-term case management, United Way of Johnson County has put into place important criteria for assistance. Referrals will come from the Salvation Army, Helpline, Human Services and Head Start.

UWJC has created a Johnson County Community Resource Directory to help individuals locate organizations who can help with commonly sought-after services. This directory lists many services offered throughout the county.
