When the temperature drops, every child in Johnson County deserves a warm coat. Operation Bundle Up is United Way of Johnson County's annual winter coat drive, collecting new and gently used coats — along with new hats, gloves, and mittens — and distributing them free of charge to children and adults in need across the county. In partnership with Milto Cleaners, local businesses, and all six Johnson County school districts, we make sure that no neighbor has to face an Indiana winter without the warmth they need.
Collection sites open each fall at businesses, schools, and organizations throughout Johnson County. Donated coats are cleaned and prepared for distribution before being made available through partner agencies. Whether you have a coat to give or a family that needs one, Operation Bundle Up is how our community wraps its arms around its neighbors when the cold sets in.
To donate coats or find a collection site near you, visit UWJC.org or call 317.736.7840. If your family needs a coat, please contact our Helpline at the same number and we will connect you with the nearest distribution partner.
