Fast Track is a county-wide school readiness program which provides backpacks, school supplies and other items to help low-income students be prepared for the first day of school. Through the generosity of our community, more than 1,463 students were served in the Clark Pleasant Community School Corporation, Center Grove Community School Corporation, Edinburgh Community School Corporation, Franklin Community Schools, Greenwood Community School Corporation and Nineveh-Hensley-Jackson United School Corporation.
In addition to the school supplies donations, we need volunteers to help make this program run smoothly. This is where you come in. We have over 200 volunteer positions available during the months of June, July, and August. Please look over the list of volunteer opportunities below and please sign up for as many as you wish.
Business Collections of School Supplies
Volunteer Opportunity 1:
Date: June 19-23, 2023

Description: Deliver collection materials to businesses.
Volunteers Needed: Need 6 volunteers that can deliver poster boards and baskets to designated locations so businesses/organizations can start collecting school supplies.

Description: Pick up school supplies and collection materials from businesses.
Volunteers Needed: Need 6 volunteers that can pick-up school supplies that have been collected by local businesses and organizations.

Description: Take collected school supplies to storage unit.
Volunteers Needed: Need 5 individuals with trucks that have camper shells, dollies, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.

Description: Fill orders
Volunteers Needed: Need 25 individuals with the ability to lift 50 lbs. Must have an attention to detail.(18 years and older)
Volunteer Opportunity 7:
Date: July 12, 2023
Time: 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Location: Milwaukee Tool (Specific instructions will be provided on location etc. Location is near I65 and Main street.)
Description: Load school supplies when schools arrive for pick-up. Pack up and transport leftover supplies from the sorting destination and take them back to the storage unit.
Volunteers Needed: Need 5 individuals with the ability to lift 50 lbs. Must have an attention to detail.(18 years and older)
Volunteer Opportunity 8:
Date: July 12, 2023
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
