Your contribution helps over 38,000 people in Johnson County

United Way of Johnson County announces there will be a brighter tomorrow for families today!

United Way of Johnson County Campaign Chair, John Lorentzen, proudly announced at its Annual Celebration Dinner on April 30th that United Way of Johnson County has met its 2014-2015 annual campaign goal. In keeping with the evening’s theme of A Brighter Tomorrow for Families Today, Lorentzen pulled out his sunglasses and happily exclaimed, “Here comes the sun! It’s been a long campaign season.  But it’s alright now because we raised $1,455,000!! Which is 100 percent of goal!”

Thank you for all the hard work and dedication of board members, volunteers, community members, and businesses of Johnson County! It’s Because of you... United Way of Johnson County was able to raise $1,455,000!

United Way of Johnson County achieved the Work2Gether Grant!

United Way of Johnson County also celebrated the success in achieving the $137,700 Work2Gether grant made possible by the Indiana Association of United Ways, funded by the Lilly Endowment. Thanks to your generous gifts, the additional $137,700 in grant funds will provide for the following:

  • Fast Track Program:  To ensure the sustainability of this valuable program, a year’s worth of school supplies will be purchased in advance to put in storage.
  • Homelessness:  In order to create a realistic solution to the homeless issues in Johnson County, UWJC will conduct a homeless needs assessment.   Building on the recommendations of the assessment, UWJC will collaboratively develop and implement a plan to address the needs of our Johnson County homeless families who have no place to call home.
