Plan and implement the overall fundraising effort for the fall fundraising campaign. Time commitment is approximately two meetings per month beginning in March with additional volunteer time in-between meetings.
Share your time, talents and skills making presentations at workplace campaigns throughout Johnson County. 4 hours a week from July through February (additional hours may be needed September through November)
Donate your time and talent capturing smiles, laughs, and good times at United Way programs and events. Events usually last between 2 – 4 hours in March, June, July, August, November, and December.
Develop and implement a year-round community-wide communications program that listens to, educates, and involves people for the annual campaign Kick-Off and Annual Celebration events. One meeting a month plus 5 additional hours that will increase relative to the date of the events during the months of April through December.
Assist staff with recruitment, training, supervision, and recognition of volunteers. Volunteer Coordinator would require 5 – 10 hours a week Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. year-round.
Assist organized teams with their assigned projects to ensure they have adequate tools and supplies. Communicate with agencies and volunteer groups throughout the process. One-time commitment for 5 – 8 hours. Some additional preparation hours may be needed.
Assist with important everyday tasks, such as mailing, filing, and assembling of information packets. Would need to set a schedule for the year, 5 – 20 hours per week between 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday thru Friday.
Assist staff in matching individuals, organizations, and corporate donors with Johnson County families in need of clothing and toys for their children at Christmas. Timeframe is October to December.
Organize collection and distribution of winter coats through formed partnerships within the community. 8 month commitment for about 5 hours a month with a meeting once a month (may fluctuate prior to event) during the months of May-November.
Volunteers are needed to serve on the committee or subcommittees. Speakers Bureau Committee, Stuff the Bus Committee, Collections Committee, Resource Partners Committee, Fund Development Committee. Volunteers are also needed for the Stuff the Bus collections and Fast Track Distribution events.
